PENN HILLS, Pa. — A 21-year-old man was shot to death in Penn Hills late Monday night.

Investigators said the victim, Jarome Coker, was found dead on Thon Drive around 10 p.m.

Investigators said it appears the shooting was planned out.

“It appears as if the individual has been shot numerous times. Someone was laying in ambush waiting for them. The home where he was laying, the back door was open,” Penn Hills police Chief Howard Burton.
Quentin Brandon told Channel 11's Dave Bondy he was playing video games inside his home when he heard the shots.
"It wasnt like an automatic, but it was, 'Pow, pow, pow' and it just kept on going continuosly," Brandon said. "I heard about 14 or 15 shots. I've never heard shots on my street before."
Neighbors said Coker had only lived at the house for a few months.
So far, police have not said if they have any suspects in the case. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact authorities.
