Man, 30, dies after being shot in Duquesne

DUQUESNE, Pa. — Allegheny County police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened in Duquesne Wednesday morning.

According to a press release, police responded to the 1000 block of Orchard Park Ave at 8:17 a.m.

Once on scene, first responders found a 30-year-old male with gunshot wounds to the torso and a 27-year-old female with injuries to her face.

The male was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced deceased. The female remained at the scene and was detained.

The Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the man as Tyree Young.

Allegheny County police said that both individuals were armed with pistols. The female possessed a valid concealed carry permit for her pistol, and she is cooperating with the investigation.
