Man threatens to destroy Pennsylvania in voicemail for Gov. Shapiro’s office, police say

HARRISBURG, Pa. — A man is accused of leaving a threatening voicemail for Gov. Josh Shapiro’s office.

Staff discovered the voicemail on Shapiro’s main office phone line at 1:48 p.m. on Thursday, according to a Pennsylvania State Police report.

Troopers say the caller called himself the “reactivated army intelligence” who intended to “destroy the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and to make sure any residents that are within the state get executed...”

State police launched an investigation and identified the caller as Theodore Knott III, 38, of Roaring Spring Township, Blair County.

Knott was arrested at his home after police filed charges and obtained an arrest warrant. He was taken to the Dauphin County Prison and posted bail Saturday.
