1 officer hurt; 4 students face charges at Pittsburgh high school after altercation

PITTSBURGH — A school police officer was hurt after being assaulted by four students at Brashear High School in Pittsburgh Thursday afternoon.

The officer was treated by medics and those students are facing criminal charges, according to the spokesperson for Pittsburgh Public Schools.

Sources told Target 11 the incident started after a large altercation involving students.

Pittsburgh Police were at the school helping officers that initially responded.

Video of the fight posted to social media appears to show the officer punch a student and the student punching back.

Last week, a Pittsburgh Public Schools student was charged as adult for allegedly punching a resource officer.
