Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy revealed in his pre-practice interview on Monday that rookie first-round offensive tackle Max Iheanachor wasn’t scheduled to practice today and probably won’t play in Friday night’s preseason game against the New York Jets, though he said maybe there’s a chance he can get back to some work by Wednesday.

The rookie out of Arizona State has not practiced fully since suffering a neck/shoulder injury on Aug. 6.

Iheanachor was back dressed for Steelers practice on Monday, Aug. 10, even after head coach Mike McCarthy said that he would not take part in the practice session. Iheanachor did not participate in any team periods, but did do some individual work.
