MURRYSVILLE, Pa. — Murrysville leaders are pressing pause on a proposed data center ordinance.
Murrysville Council was expected to move forward with new zoning rules, which would have set specific requirements for data centers.
But Wednesday night, they decided to hold off on advertising the ordinance, after hearing concerns from the public and council members.
“Pollution, noise, thermal, vibration, light, that’s my concerns. We have a nice little area, and I don’t want to make it worse,” one resident, Dave McCarty, said.
Murrysville doesn’t have another date in mind yet to vote on the ordinance.
Council will continue reviewing the proposal before deciding what comes next.
