Nearly 125,000 power outages have been reported to local electrical companies as a wave of severe storms passes through.

Duquesne Light Company reports a total of 60,390 power outages.

At this time, 57,101 of those were in Allegheny County, 3,299 power outages were reported in Beaver County and 19 were reported in Westmoreland County.

West Penn Power reported 96,956 outages in all of Pennsylvania.

Those outages were listed as follows:

  • Allegheny County - 5,883
  • Armstrong County - 280
  • Beaver County - 570
  • Butler County - 629
  • Fayette County - 1,221
  • Indiana County - 85
  • Lawrence County - 969
  • Mercer County - 747
  • Washington County - 7,546
  • Westmoreland County - 46,590

Duquesne Light issued a reminder for people to avoid downed power lines.

“Our crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to restore power after storms caused widespread damage throughout the region tonight. Please give them ample space to work, for their safety and yours,” a Duquesne Light Company spokesperson said.
