24-year-old man killed, another man injured in shooting in Manchester

PITTSBURGH — Police have confirmed that one person is dead and another is injured after a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Manchester neighborhood.

Officers responded to reports of 12 gunshots at the 1300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue at around 9:01 p.m.

An official from Pittsburgh police said that officers who arrived at the scene found a man who was unconscious in the 1300 block of Warlo Street. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Monday, the Allegheny County Medical Examiner identified the man as Daevon Eggleston, 24, of Troy Hill.

Police said another man who was shot showed up at a local hospital. He was last listed in critical condition.

Pittsburgh police continue to investigate.
