"I took my flashlight and checked around my house, and saw a bullet hole in my porch,” Bobbie Sabo said.
Initial reports indicated the shooting may have occurred when a resident fired at a burglar, but police have yet to confirm that.
Allegheny County detectives haven't released the name of the dead victim. Channel 11's Steven Fisher reported the person who was taken to the hospital was not shot, but details about their condition were not released.
At least two people were being questioned. One of the people taken into custody uses a wheelchair.
"He said put your hands up and then they got him out of the chair, laid him down and handcuffed him," said a neighbor who did not wish to be identified.
Police stopped short of saying whether anyone has been charged with a crime.
