PITTSBURGH — A local nonprofit is preparing to help communities impacted by Isaias.
The Pittsburgh-based group Brother’s Brother Foundation says it’s ready to send disaster response kits for people forced to evacuate... and medical supplies for first responders.
Channel 11 spoke with the foundation’s president, who says those kits are prepared and stocked in warehouses on the north side.
“Simple things like toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, all those things that we kind of take for granted on a daily basis,” Brother’s Brother Foundation president Ozzy Samad said.
Brother’s Brother Foundation has stepped up in the face of other disasters, including after Hurricane Melissa hit Jamaica last year.
The founder says 100% of donations are used to support emergency relief and logistics.
