PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Latino Community Center announced it has finalized plans this week to relocate from its rented office space near Friendship to a headquarters it purchased in the Strip District.
A spokesperson for the center said it could not provide a specific location in the Strip District due to safety concerns, but said the building that was purchased is on Smallman Street.
“Today’s Latine youth will represent more than one in 11 Pittsburgh workers by 2050. They will be our city’s doctors, teachers, engineers and business owners,” said Executive Director and Founder Rosamaria Cristello. “This new building is our organization’s investment in the future of Pittsburgh and a physical expression of the Latino Community Center’s larger vision and goals.”
The Latino Community Center was founded in 2017 and provides services for the Pittsburgh Latino community.
