Pittsburgh Regional Transit to host virtual meeting about planned Carnegie Station improvements

Carnegie Station

Pittsburgh Regional Transit will host a virtual public meeting for updates on planned improvements to Carnegie Station and the nearby Park and Ride lot.

PRT representatives will be available throughout the Dec. 1 meeting to answer questions about the project, which has reached 90% design.

Located at the terminus of the West Busway in Carnegie Borough, the project aims to modernize the existing transit facility. PRT officials said the project will improve transit operations, passenger accessibility and the overall rider experience.

Planned enhancements include improving safe and accessible boarding for paratransit services, upgrading amenities for transit operators and revitalizing the station area to create a more efficient hub.

The virtual meeting will take place at 6 p.m. on Microsoft Teams. Click here to learn more about the project or to sign up to attend the virtual meeting.
