Downtown Pittsburgh is getting a shot in the arm from the state.
On Monday, the city announced in a release that it will be receiving $3 million from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The money will go toward the renovation of the Boulevard of the Allies in the Central Business District, a project that has been a priority of Mayor Corey O’Connor.
In the release, the city said the funds will work toward “advancing Mayor Corey O’Connor’s vision to create a greener, more welcoming connection through downtown.”
