An upcoming movie night hopes to get you in the fall mood.
The Plaza at North Shore is hosting a free screening of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” during Harry Potter Night on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
But it’s not only a movie. Attendees can arrive early to play giant picnic games and the event features a costume contest with prizes awarded across three age categories: Under 12, teen and adult. A $500 award will be given for the best overall costume of the evening. Costume contest winners in the age divisions will receive SugarBird gift cards.
Participating food vendor SugarBird will offer a one-night-only Butterbeer drink made with cream soda, butterscotch syrup, butter, vanilla and whipped cream. Guests ages 21 and older can order a spiked version.
In addition to its standard menu of fried chicken and donuts, SugarBird will sell popcorn and handspun cotton candy throughout the evening.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.
