Police: Burglars Accidentally Dial 911, Lead Police To Crime

NEW CASTLE, Pa.,None — Three burglary suspects were arrested Friday in New Castle after police said 911 dispatchers overheard the group making plans for a break-in.

New Castle Police Chief Tom Sansone said police were able to track the cellphone and it brought them right to the house where thieves were trying to get inside.

“It seemed like the call was muffled in a pocket,” Sansone said. “You could hear noises on it. You could hear people saying, 'Let’s get in here.'”

Police are still questioning the men, but all three of them have been charged with burglary and trespassing, authorities said.
