Police: Undercover investigation busts Beaver Co. nail salon selling counterfeit purses

HOPEWELL, Pa. — The owner of a Beaver County nail salon has been charged with selling counterfeit designer purses out of the back of her store, according to police.

Authorities said an undercover operation at Hope Nails, in the Hopewell Shopping Center in Hopewell Township, led them to dozens of fake designer purses.

The 43-year-old owner of the business wouldn't comment on the charges and told Channel 11's Amy Marcinkiewicz to talk to her attorney.

Customers of the salon said they were surprised to hear of the accusations.

"It's a great shop. I go there all the time. I'm in shock because I never saw any purses," one customer said.
