YOUNGWOOD, Pa. — Runners in Westmoreland County honored the heroes of 9/11.
The Travis Manion Foundation 9/11 Heroes Run was held Sunday in Youngwood.

The event sought to pay respect to the first responders called in Sept. 11, 2001, and the service members who stepped forward in the wars that followed.
“Running has been a really important part of my healing journey and my life, and giving back to others,” said Erin Sellner, a Gold Star Mother. “I’m honored to be here for Travis Manion, to honor everyone we lost on 9/11 and since.”
There was a 5K run or “ruck,” and a one-mile run or walk, giving people of all fitness levels a chance to participate.
