Slippery Rock reaches agreements with local nursing programs

Slippery Rock University has reached agreement with four Pittsburgh-region community colleges that will allow graduates with associate’s degree nursing students to work on their bachelor’s degree in nursing at the university.

The agreements are with the Community College of Allegheny County, the Community College of Beaver County, Westmoreland County Community College, and Butler County Community College.

The students will be able to finish their associate’s degree and then take up to 24 credits online at the community colleges before transferring to SRU. It would allow the students to take more credits affordably and then transfer to SRU to finish up the degree.
