PITTSBURGH — This article originally appeared on SteelersNOW.com.
Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (foot) did not practice on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday. That leaves his status for Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots in question.
Pittman finished the Steelers’ Week 1 win over the Atlanta Falcons without an obvious injury, but is trending the wrong way.
Germie Bernard would replace Pittman if he’s unable to play in Week 2.
Pittman led the Steelers in receiving yards against Atlanta with three receptions for 58 yards (19.3 average). Not having their No. 2 wideout against a talented Patriots secondary will be a big blow for the Steelers.
