Suspects wanted for robbing 2 South Side businesses in same night

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police are investigating after a pair of suspects robbed two businesses on the South Side Sunday night.

Officers were dispatched to the BP gas station at 10th and Carson streets around 8:30 p.m. for a reported robbery.

Employees told police that two men dressed in black hoodies and masks entered the store. They threatened employees with a knife and demanded cash and tobacco products before fleeing on foot.

A short time later the same men entered Glass Zone in the 1300 block of East Carson. The owner told police that they immediately jumped over the counter, brandished a knife and demanded cash and THC products. The owner gave them a small amount of money and the actors then ran from the store.

No one was injured in either incident. Detectives were given surveillance video from both robberies.

Police continue to investigate.
