Sweater weather on Saturday, showers possible later on

PITTSBURGH — Sweatshirt and sweater weather kicks off the weekend with high temperatures Saturday struggling to get out of the 40s.

A few showers are also possible, with damp weather starting early in the day north of Pittsburgh, then sliding south through the day. Some areas could get enough for a few wet snowflakes.

Sunshine returns Sunday, and after a chilly start, milder temperatures settle in through the afternoon. Winds will also pick up with gusts up to 25 mph through the day, making leaf raking a battle.

Milder temperatures return early next week.
