Undercover prostitution investigation nets 5 arrests at downtown Pittsburgh hotel

PITTSBURGH — Five people were arrested overnight Thursday in an undercover prostitution bust at an upscale hotel in downtown Pittsburgh.

Amber Dean and Juan Lloyd were the first of the five taken into custody. According to police paperwork, detectives made contact with Dean through ads placed on escort-related websites.

They met her in-person at the Westin Convention Center hotel, where she allegedly agreed to sex for money, the paperwork said.

Police arrested her and Lloyd, her alleged driver after he entered the hotel to check on her.

Authorities said their arrests were part on an Internet prostitution sting that involved several police agencies and the FBI. None of the agencies would comment Friday.

Paperwork showed that detectives also arrested Sade Johnson at the hotel, and in a third, separate sting, they arrested Danasia McNeal and her alleged driver, Ahmadasia Witherspoon.

In all three cases, the women offered sex in exchange for $300, according to police paperwork.

All five were lodged at the Allegheny County Jail on charges ranging from prostitution to conspiracy.
