A Washington County environmental group is suing two state agencies, accusing them of allowing a local creek to be destroyed.
The nonprofit Marianna Outdoorsmen Association (MOA) claims PennDOT and the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection didn’t enforce regulations for an unpermitted road project.
The MOA claims the project damaged the Ten Mile Creek watershed, preventing recreational activities on the water.
Alleged damage includes stream redirection and destruction of the creekbed.
Now, the group is seeking court orders for PennDOT and the DEP to restore creek conditions and pay for the costs.
