People who live in North Strabane Township told Channel 11 they saw the animal in their neighborhood in the middle of the day.

According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, coyotes are wary of people, but have become extremely adapted to living by them. If you see one near your property:

- Make the coyote uncomfortable by making loud noises — yelling clapping, or banging a pot — so it doesn’t won’t to come back to that same spot.
