What you need to know before the Steelers’ first home preseason game

PITTSBURGH — Acrisure Stadium and the Steelers have released guidelines for the team’s first preseason game on Thursday.

The game information covers various topics fans should know before they head to the North Shore.

When should I arrive?

Kickoff is at 7 p.m., but fans are encouraged to arrive at least two hours early to avoid traffic and crowds, and to be able to enjoy in-stadium pregame activities.

Parking lots open at 2 p.m. and all gates open at 5 p.m.

Steelers Mobile App

All fans are encouraged to download the Steelers Mobile App, where you can get push notifications and gameday alerts.

Mobile ticketing

Fans should download their tickets to their phone’s mobile wallet before getting to the stadium. This ensures you can access your ticket without wifi or cell service.

If going to the game as a group, it’s suggested to transfer tickets so each person has their own ticket on their device.

Parking and traffic

There are various parking options around the stadium, some of which are pre-sold through JustPark.

While the Gold 1 Garage is a popular North Shore lot, fans are encouraged to consider the following options:

• Downtown Garages and ride the free Light Rail Transit to the North Shore
• Station Square and ride the Gateway Clipper Fleet
• South Hills Light Rail Lots (free) and ride the Light Rail Transit to the North Shore

While navigating to the North Shore, fans are encouraged to use WAZE to find the most efficient routes.

Other policies of note

Clear Bag Policy

The Steelers will continue to enforce the NFL clear bag policy, which permits clear bags that do not exceed 12″ x 6″ x 12.″

Non-clear bags that do not exceed 4.5″ x 6.5″ can be brought into the stadium.

Cashless Stadium

Acrisure Stadium is a cashless venue and will only accept credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
