Woman crashes into closed Scott Twp. restaurant

SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A car crashed into a Scott Township restaurant Thursday morning.

Authorities said the car went through the glass entrance of Tomatoes on Washington Avenue. The restaurant has been closed for several months.

Karie Goedert was eating next door at Gab and Eat and said she heard and felt the crash.

“We heard it and we felt the floor shake. People ran out the door,” Goedert said. “I guess an older couple had driven their car through the building.”

The female driver of the car wasn’t injured in the crash.
