Woman shot, killed in Pittsburgh’s Bedford Dwellings

PITTSBURGH — A woman is dead following a shooting in Pittsburgh’s Bedford Dwellings early Tuesday morning.

At around 2:55 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 2500 block of Chauncey Drive.

They found a woman shot in the vestibule of the building outside of her apartment door. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said a male actor fled on foot.

Detectives recovered several shell casings from the scene.

Pittsburgh Police continue to investigate.
