A woman was transported to the hospital and a man is in custody after a shooting in Stowe Township Sunday night.

Allegheny County Police say they responded to reports of a shooting at the 800 block of 13th Street at around 8:50 p.m.

When they arrived on the scene they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound to the arm.

Police say they detained a male suspect and County Police and the county District Attorney’s office are working to learn more.
