Police: Woman taken to a hospital in critical condition after shooting in Homewood

PITTSBURGH — A woman is in critical condition after a shooting in Homewood, police say.

Police and medics were dispatched to Brushton and Frankstown avenues at about 4:15 p.m. Sunday after receiving calls about a person shot in that location.

When crews arrived, they found a woman inside her car suffering from a gunshot wound to the side.

She was taken to a local hospital.
