SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa.,None — Police said a Greentree teenager is facing a second public intoxication charge after he showed up to court drunk.
Patrick Voke, 19, was scheduled to appear in court on a public intoxication charge when police said he again was drunk and disorderly.
"He said he got hit in the head while playing hockey, but you could tell it was definitely more than physical," said Scott Township police officer Shane McGrath.
McGrath said he arrested Voke the first time near Hope Hollow Road. He said Voke showed up 30 minutes late to his court hearing wearing a hockey outfit. McGrath said Voke struggled to speak with the judge.
"You could smell the alcohol. He said he wasn't drinking. I said, 'Are you sure? I beg to differ.' I could smell it on him. Another officer could smell it on him," McGrath said.
Police said a breathalyzer test later revealed that Voke had a blood alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit.
The judge immediately sent Voke to jail and the teen was cited for a second public drunkenness and disorderly conduct charge.
Voke is scheduled to appear in court at the end of the month and has been ordered to attend treatment for alcohol abuse.
