Person had to be cut out of van after multivehicle crash; Route 30 shut down for a time

PITTSBURGH — A multivehicle crash had part of Route 30 (Ardmore Boulevard) shut down for a time Monday afternoon.

Channel 11′s crew at the scene could see smashed vehicles on both sides of the roadway, as well as a car that had crashed into a nearby garage. The scene was near Vincent’s Pizza Park.

Police said it may be a case of road rage contributing to the crash.

The North Braddock Police Chief said one person suffered minor injuries and had to be cut out of a van involved in the crash. That person was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

There’s no word yet on how many vehicles or people were involved.
