An adult male had a gunshot wound to his back, was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. Detectives are investigating.

Anyone with information is asked to call the County Police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous.

Sources told Channel 11 that the end of the game was postponed because of the disturbance outside of the stadium.

Monday, the Sto-Rox Business Manager told Channel 11 the game in the first round of the WPIAL Playoffs has been moved to Peters Township.

“The potential inability to provide a secure environment for the spectators involved was a paramount concern of the district’s administrative staff and school board,” Paul Sroka said in a statement. “Working in cooperation with the local authorities and the WPIAL it was felt in the best interest for all involved to move any potential playoff games offsite. Any other concerns should be directed to the Stowe Township Police.”

No one has been arrested for the shooting on Saturday.

In June, a teenager was shot near an all-star football game being played at Sto-Rox Junior-Senior High School.

The shooting did not take place inside the stadium.
