Two other juveniles were taken to a Pittsburgh hospital with serious injuries, police said.

According to WFMJ, Myers and Nelson -- both students at Hickory High School -- were in the SUV with two other girls traveling to a faith-based program at Grove City College.

Hermitage School District Superintendent Daniel Bell called the girls "wonderful students" and said the entire district is heartbroken.

Police say snow is to blame for this crash and others on the same stretch of road.
