PITTSBURGH — Thirty-five lawsuits have now been filed against Giant Eagle over its mask policy.
The lawsuits claim discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
People with medical conditions say employees yelled at them and physically escorted them out of stores because they weren’t wearing a mask.
The state mandate says if you have a medical reason or condition, you do not need to wear a mask.
Plaintiffs included residents of the Alle-Kiski Valley, Cranberry and other areas surrounding Pittsburgh.
Channel 11 has contacted Giant Eagle for a comment on the lawsuits.
