Allegheny Co. police investigating after man shot, killed

SWISSVALE, Pa. — Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in Swissvale Thursday evening.

According to investigators, the shooting happened around 6:30 p.m. on Noble Street. When first responders got to the scene and searched the area, they found the victim -- a 31-year-old man -- on Center Street nearby.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound, but he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead.

Authorities did not release any information regarding a suspected shooter, and homicide detectives are investigating.

What led to the deadly shooting is still unclear.
