The home was located near the border of Braddock and Forest Hills along Route 30.
Crews on scene cutting up the tree told Channel 11 the Oak was about 120 feet high before it came crashing down. It happened earlier in the week during a thunderstorm.
Nearby homeowners didn’t know the tree had clipped their house at first.
One lane of Ardmore Boulevard was closed for a short time during the Friday evening rush as crews worked to clear the debris.
