FBI, SWAT raid McKees Rocks home after threats made on social media, sources say

MCKEES ROCKS, Pa. — FBI agents and SWAT teams searched a McKees Rocks home after alleged threats were made on social media, federal sources tell Channel 11.

Officials confirmed that FBI agents conducted “law enforcement activity” at the home in the 900 block of Russellwood Avenue Friday.

Neighbors told Channel 11 they heard five flash bang grenades by SWAT officers around 6 p.m. as authorities began clearing the house.

One man who lives at that home told Channel 11 there were seven people inside when agents raided it. That person also told Channel 11’s Amy Hudak one person, who also lives there, was taken into custody.

It is unclear if this raid is related to the violent protests in Pittsburgh that happened on Saturday and Monday.
