Hot, humid conditions and thunderstorms possible Thursday

PITTSBURGH — A warm front will lift north across the area during the day Thursday and bring humid and hot conditions.

Scattered thunderstorms are likely to develop, especially in the afternoon and evening. Some of the storms could be severe with damaging winds, large hail, isolated tornadoes.

Locally, heavy rainfall and lightning will accompany any thunderstorm.
