PITTSBURGH — Kennywood’s opening, and so are Sandcastle Waterpark and Idlewild & SoakZone after being unable to get up and running sooner because of COVID-19.

An announcement was made Tuesday that the parks will open in phases, starting with a Friends & Family Day on July 6. July 7-10 will be exclusively for holders of 2020 season passes, which will also be good for the 2021 season.
