Man dead after shooting in Northview Heights

PITTSBURGH — A 41-year-old man is dead after a shooting in the Northview Heights neighborhood of the city on Saturday night.

Blake Green, of McKees Rocks, was identified as the victim, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.

Pittsburgh Police and EMS responded for a 9-1-1 call for a male shot on the 1400 block of Chicago Street around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

There, they found Green with two gunshot wounds to the back, police said. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
