Massive flames ravage home in Derry Township

DERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Massive flames ravaged a home, burning it down to the frame Thursday morning in Derry Township.

The fire was reported shortly before 4 a.m. on Pizza Barn Road.

Firefighters said initial reports indicated people were trapped inside the home. However, officials said two people were outside when they got there.

The fire had engulfed the home by the time firefighters got to the scene.

As crews battled the flames that were burning through the house, they also worked to stop the fire from spreading to an attached garage.

Emergency dispatchers said no injuries were reported.

A fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
