Millvale police asking for help finding man wanted for multiple burglaries

MILLVALE, Pa. — The Millvale Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a man wanted for multiple burglaries.

Police said he’s been identified as Elwood Bartrug and he does have an active arrest warrant.

A reward is available for anyone who provides information that leads to his capture.

“I think it’s frightening that someone would commit a brazen crime going into someone’s houses. That’s shocking that it happened here in Millvale,” Al Sucillon said.

On Monday, police were able to track Bartrug to a home in the area known for criminal activity. Police say when he came to the door, they asked for his ID. In that split second, he took off running through the house and jumped out a third story window, landed in an alley and took off.
