Man killed in Pittsburgh shooting, multiple crashes as people tried to get away

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Four people were shot during a large gathering in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood and one of those people died.

Investigators responded to a ShotSpotter notification on Kelly Street where they were met with large groups of people running on foot and trying to drive away.

Multiple crashes were reported as people tried to get away.

Sean Reese, 34, was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital, police said. A second shooting victim was in stable condition and a third victim was taken in a private vehicle in critical condition.

A motorcycle rider was hurt in a wreck while trying to get away from the scene. He was also taken to the hospital for treatment.

It’s not clear at this point what started the shooting. Police said they are still investigating.
