HEMPFIELD, Pa. — Channel 11 got a tour of the exciting state-of-the-art elements at the new “Live! Casino Pittsburgh” coming to Hempfield Township.

The casino is located at the Westmoreland Mall, at the former Sears location.

Inside, it has more than 100,000 square feet of gaming, dining and entertainment.

Here’s the layout of the first floor: Live casino action with 750 slot machines and about 30 live-action table games.

Upstairs is filled with family fun and the ultimate sports fan experience. There will be a massive 45-foot video screen for sports games and sports betting.

Bowling, foosball and skee-ball are among various games that will also be on the second floor.

They are about 60 days away from opening the casino to the community, which will bring hundreds of jobs to Westmoreland County.

Casino officials said the casino will bring more than $47 million in tax revenues annually for the region — a big boost to the local economy.

During Thursday’s tour, the casino addressed COVID-19 protocols, including limiting guests and following all state health and safety guidelines.
