The Connellsville Superintendent Joseph Bradley released the following statement:
CASD takes these allegations very seriously and does not condone any unsportsmanship conduct from our spectators or student athletes, let alone ones of the disgusting nature and or gravity of this type. At this point, CASD is fully cooperating with Penn Hills School District and the WPIAL as we seek to fully investigate, apply appropriate consequences or programmatic changes, and ultimately provide a teachable moment to all involved.
The WPIAL has reportedly requested a written report from the Connellsville administration.
