Pitcairn man charged with rape of 11-year-old girl

PITCAIRN, Pa. — A 29-year-old man has been charged in connection with the rape of an 11-year-old girl in late December.

According to our partners at TribLive.com, Joshua Davon Austin-Pollard faces multiple felony charges.

Court documents said the victim’s friend, a young girl, persuaded her to sneak out of her house. Austin-Pollard is referred to as her friend’s “uncle.” He ordered a Lyft to take the victim to a T station in Downtown Pittsburgh where he met her. They were then taken back to his house.

Documents said he made sexual advances and then eventually raped her.

Police said the victim was forensically interviewed at UPMC Children’s Hospital on Dec. 29, one day after the alleged assault.

Austin-Pollard remains in the Allegheny County Jail on $75,000 bail. He has a hearing in front of a judge scheduled for next month.
