Pittsburgh apartment complex puts people in hotel rooms after outage affects power, water

PITTSBURGH — City View Apartments in Pittsburgh notified their residents that power to the elevators would be down for a short time on Wednesday night.

After hours of no service, they released another statement saying that due to a Duquesne Light outage in relation to the construction on 5th Avenue, the elevators, air conditioning and water would all be affected.

The apartment complex stated that they would be putting residents that are ages 65 and older or have medical conditions in hotels for the evening until the situation would be fixed.

At this time, the estimated repair is before noon on Thursday.
