Police find car connected to deadly shooting in Baldwin; suspect still on loose

Police have found the vehicle they were looking for in connection to Hines' death.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man shot and killed in Baldwin on Sunday morning as James Frederick Hines.

Allegheny County Police have issued an arrest warrant for James Darnel King, 33, in the shooting. He is charged with homicide, tampering with evidence, recklessly endangering another person and weapons crimes.

King, of the North Side, was last seen driving a tan 2008 Hyundai sedan with Pennsylvania license plate JNB 7404, police said. He is black, about 5'7" tall and 160 lbs. He wears glasses.

Anyone with information on King's whereabouts is asked to call police.

Police said 911 was notified of a shooting in the 900 block of Angelo Drive around 11:55 a.m.

Emergency responders found a 21-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound when they arrived.

According to the criminal complaint, Hines was able to identify the victim to police when they arrived on the scene.

He was transported to the hospital, where he died.

Police said preliminary reports indicate the victim was engaged in a verbal argument just before being shot.
