Police issue warning after seeing deadly overdoses from unknown substance

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Police have issued a warning Monday after seeing multiple deadly drug overdoses in Washington County.

In many cases, the people who overdosed believed they were using what they believed to be cocaine, but in reality it was an unknown substance, the city of Washington Police Department said in a Facebook post.

It’s not just limited to cocaine, police said. It is possible that the substance is being mixed with other possibly deadly drugs.

Police are asking that people not use any illegal drugs or drugs not prescribed to them.
