State representative introduces Articles of Impeachment against Gov. Wolf

PITTSBURGH — Pennsylvania State Representative Daryl Metcalfe (R-Butler) posted on his social media that he introduced Articles of Impeachment against “Dictator Tom Wolf for his extreme misbehavior in office!"

In his post, Metcalfe argued “Wolf’s most recent violation of the law is his refusal to comply” with a resolution passed by the House of Representatives requiring him to end “the emergency declaration that he has used to harm millions of our citizens.”

The articles say Wolf did not have the authority to issue orders under the emergency declaration that “deprived citizens of this Commonwealth of their most basic rights" and the the orders violate “the prohibition against unlawful seizures and the right not to be deprived of property without due process.”

The articles also said that the waiver process for non-life-sustaining businesses “was applied in an arbitrary and capricious manner” and affected the livelihoods of many business owners.
